The audience is awarding the best feature film and the best documentary.
All films selected for the Pink Apple Film Festival will automatically participate in the Pink Apple Public Award if they are produced in the last 3 years and have a minimum length of 45 minutes.

Films are evaluated by voting cards distributed to the audience. These cards are collected right after the screening. Voting is optional and may be anonymous. A scale from 10 (excellent) to 1 (weak) is used for voting. The festival board is averaging out the votes of all cards on all films. The results and the ranking list of the first films will be published on the Pink Apple website after the festival. The film director and/or the film distribution company of the winning film as well as the media will be informed accordingly.

The winners of the Pink Apple Public Award and their production and distribution companies are expected the mention of the award together with the official Pink Apple festival logo for all their publicity and promotional material.
